Theme Parks

Sea World San Diego

Sea World is a marine park, oceanarium, and theme park. With enough activities to spend the entire day, you can enjoy rides, animal exhibits, fantastic shows, interactive activities like feeding dolphins and sea lions. In the summer the park stays open late and the night ends with firework shows.

San Diego Zoo
World famous San Diego Zoo is known for its modern animal exhibits that include unique Polar Bears, Pandas and Elephant enclosures and shows. It is one of the largest and most progressive zoos in the world with over 4,000 animals of more than 800 species. It is also one of the few zoos in the world that houses the giant panda.

San Diego Wild Animal Safari Park
Take a guided tour through remote Africa and Asia and see exotic animals in their large, expansive habitats. Featuring huge open enclosures with herds of African and Asian animals, the Park is a unique experience that brings people thrillingly close to wild and endangered animals.

Disneyland
Create new memories at the Happiest Place on Earth! Located about ninety minutes from San Diego you can spend the whole day at Disneyland enjoying the adventures that await. Disneyland has expanded to now include California Adventure Theme Park.

Gaslamp Quarter
The Gaslamp Quarter is a 16 block historical neighborhood in downtown San Diego, an energetic business and entertainment district. The Quarter is home to many events and festivals throughout the year, 5th Avenue is lined with an array of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and theaters. It is home to many street festivals throughout the year.

Balboa Park
Balboa Park is the nation’s largest cultural park attracting people to its many activities. It holds 15 historic museums, lush green gardens and the world renowned San Diego Zoo. Spread over 1,200 acres of land, the Park also hosts many performing arts venues, including the Tony-award winning Old Globe Theatre.
San Diego Bay
San Diego Bay covers 34 miles of oceanfront panorama and spans seven unique districts. Each area has a distinct feel and something unique to offer its visitors. Enjoy 16 waterfront parks and a myriad of restaurants, shops, walking paths, and ocean views. Take a boat ride for sunset dinner, enjoy brunch at Shelter Island, walk through Seaport Village for entertainment and shopping, or see a concert at Humphrey by the Bay.

Old Town San Diego
Old Town is considered the “birthplace” of California, the site of the first permanent Spanish settlement in California. It was here, in 1769, that Father Junipero Serra came to establish the very first mission in a chain of 21 missions that were to be the cornerstone of California’s colonization. Old Town is home to festivals throughout the year. You can take a stroll through the state park and experience historic buildings designed to replicate the feel of San Diego in the year 1820.

Casinos
San Diego is home to several casinos making it possible to enjoy a Las Vegas-style adventure without the travel! From blackjack and poker to Pai Gow and progressive slot machines, gaming San Diego-style is the real deal. With world-class entertainment, spas, golf courses and outlet malls, the casinos in San Diego have a lot to offer.

Golf Courses
Home to over 100 beautiful golf courses to experience, the most famous is Torrey Pines Golf Course. San Diego’s Beach Guide

 

Coronado
Coronado Beach is located on Coronado Island, best known for the famous Hotel del Coronado. This beach is easily accessible and family friendly.

Ocean Beach
When you visit Ocean Beach you will enjoy the shops and restaurants lining Newport Avenue, a drive along beautiful Sunset Cliffs with scenic views, and a stroll on one of the longest piers in California with amazing sunset views every day.

Mission Beach
Catch some waves at the Wave House in Mission Beach, take a ride on the roller coaster at Belmont Park or have a barbecue along one of the many picnic areas that line this beach. There is never a dull moment at Mission Beach, great for people watching and entertainment.

Pacific Beach
Referred to as “PB”, this San Diego beach is filled with young people and nightlife. Garnet Avenue is lined with restaurants and nightclubs, and the famous boardwalk has bikes and skateboarders whizzing by all day long. Great for surfing and catching some sun.

La Jolla
La Jolla Shores is a gorgeous beach great for family fun, picnic, kayak tours and surfing. If you head up the hill to “the Cove” you will find some of the most attractive ocean views in all of San Diego. You can search for animal life along the tide pools and take photos of sea lions on rocks. Many shops and cafes line Girard Avenue with activities to last the entire day.

Torrey Pines
After spending some time on this beach, take a hike inside Torrey Pines National Park. You will find over 2,000 acres of natural habit untouched by development. Sight see with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, lagoons and natural wildlife.

Encinitas
Encinitas is a delightful North County coastal community located only 25 freeway miles north of downtown. This quaint neighborhood has a small town feel and lots of charm. Life in this town is slow paced and centered around beach and surfing. This coastline holds many beaches with minimal crowds.  You can even find your own secluded cove to sit back and relax.
